  Elizabeth is a wonderful teacher, caring and knowledgeable, and her studio feels more a gathering of friends than a place of business. I can't recommend Yoga Mandara enough. Although the address is Rockville it is steps from Garret Park and very close to Kensington.

  My favorite teacher and studio by far. Walk the verdant garden path, shed your day as you commune with the plants for a minute, and enter at the back. This isn't gym yoga but it will push you and give your body something it needs. Every class is different, and all is backed by more experience than you can imagine.

  I am a longtime student , and can attest to Elizabeth's masterful teaching, and her ability to interweave precise anatomic principles of alignment into beautifully sequenced, varied, and creative classes 100% of the time. She offers modifications and variations to each pose and sequence, personalizing the experience for the individual student, such that everyone feels cared for. Without exception, a class at this homey and friendly studio is one of the highlights of my week.

  Elizabeth helped me avoid knee surgery for my torn meniscus through classes and personal sessions. Her teaching, knowledge and presence are truly a joy. Rearrange your time and your world to take classes at Yoga Mandara. It's really fun.

  Elizabeth is a master teacher, capable of delivering on all the key aspects of yoga, mind-body-spirit. Her classes manage to be both challenging and relaxing at the same time. Her extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, alignment and therapeutics enables her to provide the best possible instruction and to offer useful adjustments. Students are under the best care with her guidance and feel nurtured by her individual attention. Plus, her weaving of ancient tales into the class instruction is fun and thought provoking.
