  Our family has been using this practice for many years. My adult children started going as young children and were always treated with great respect and kindness. Both Dr. Douglas Drewyer and Dr. Austin Drewyer are gentle, and skilled dentists. They share information about your teeth and gums so that you are able to make effective decisions about your dental health. I have found the preventative advice and counseling so helpful and done without judgment or pressure but rather encouragement. The office staff is just as wonderful and kind.

  About 18 months ago, and based on a friend's recommendation my husband and I made an appointment at Drewyer Dentistry for a dental exam and cleaning. Mine was with Dr. Austin, my husband's appointment was with Dr. Doug. While driving home my husband and I both commented that it was probably the most thorough dental exam that we've ever had done. After that visit my husband and I decided that it was time to change dentists. During my husband's dental exam, and based on what he saw, Dr. Doug suggested that perhaps he should consider having himself tested for the possibility of sleep apnea. This was the first time that such a suggestion had ever been made to him, but he is so glad Dr. Doug did. It has made a very big difference! At my next visit Dr. Austin carefully explained the dental work that needed to be done, and took the time to answer my questions in a way that I could easily understand. I have always found Dr. Austin and Dr. Doug easy to talk to, good listeners, and both come across as warm and caring. They obviously "care" about the well-being of their patients. Before Dr. Austin, Dr. Doug or the dental hygienist start a dental procedure they take the time to carefully explain what they are going to do, and answer my questions. They also let me know that, if I need to "pause" , just let them know. This reassured me that my "comfort" was important to them Having good communications with my doctor or dentist is very important to me. At no point have my husband or I ever felt that we made the wrong decision in switching dentists. We are very happy that Drewyer Dentistry is now taking care of our dental needs. With Dr.. Doug and Dr. Austin's expert knowledge, their "soft touch," the latest in dental equipment, an outstanding, helpful, and friendly support staff, the dental work is completed before I realize it, and "done right the first time." From the time I arrive at Drewyer Dentistry for my appointment, where I am always cheerfully greeted by Barbara and/or Jean, I know that I am "in good hands". My mouth has never been in as good a shape as it is now. If you are looking for a knowledgeable, experienced, competent, courteous, caring, friendly and understanding "team" of dental professionals who go that "extra mile" to meet your dental needs consider giving Drewyer Dentistry in Burtonsville a call. You'll be glad you did!

  I think I've been seeing Dr. Douglas Drewyer for almost 20 years. His son, Dr. Austin Drewyer, is also a very skilled dentist. Both pay attention to your complete medical history and its implications for your oral and dental health. They make going to the dentist pleasant. No pain! No aggravation! The office is well run (thanks, Barbara and Jean!) and the technological is current.

  I am extremely pleased with my experience with the Drewyer Dentistry team. The front office staff are very welcoming and kind. Dr. Austin is one of the best dentists that I have been to at explaining and giving knowledge to the patient. He makes you feel at ease knowing exactly what exactly he is going to be doing to your teeth and answers all questions that you may have. Dr. Austin's dental assistant Stacey is very personable and makes sitting in that dentist chair a little more comfortable. Dr. Austin and Stacey fixed my chipped teeth in a fast and pain less way. I am thrilled with what they did with my teeth and would suggest anyone to go to Drewyer Dentistry!

  I HIGHLY recommend Drewyer Dentistry. I have been a client for 28 years now! I wouldn't have it any other way. I've added my 3 other family members and provided referrals as well. Drs. Doug and Austin, Jean, Barbara and all the hygienists and staff provide excellent service and care. They are consistently professional, flexible and available to help with a full range of care for all ages. We are extremely pleased with their service and look forward to their continued care for years to come. I actually look FORWARD to my dental visits!! I leave with a beautiful smile and having had an excellent experience. Always. Do yourself a favor. Check them out.
