Sometimes reviews do not fit the profile, or they represent misplaced anger. The first review seems to be the latter. There is a basement, but it is one of several classrooms. Toys and rooms are cleaned regularly, so it is not clear where the animosity comes from.
My children have attended since 2010. It is a caring facility, but yes in a private home. My daughter is well prepared for Kindergarten - which is not true of all places (especially where we lived in NC, there was no teaching there). My kids miss "school" when they are at home. It is a testament to the teachers, structure and fun (arts, play, exploration). And the owners have been nothing but supportive to my family.
