(December 3, 2018, 3:10 pm)While the inside of this museum was a little underwhelming your entrance fee pays for a trip on an actual trolley through the woods! The ride itself was 100% worth the cost of admission! There is a miniature set up of a town with a working trolley and lights that the kids can turn off and on. Since we were there at Christmas time there was also a "Santa's Garden" set up with two train sets that were running. Both the trolley and train sets are closed off so the children can not touch them. I will definitely go back to visit this as my son LOVED the trolley ride.

(November 9, 2018, 6:32 am)This place is even better than I remember as a child growing up coming here and an honor to be able to bring my children here nowadays. The staff here are so kind and caring to the children and really took the time to educate my 5 year old son about the history of their trains/trolleys. The train ride tours almost has me forgetting im in Montgomery county Maryland.

Fascinating history of DC's cable cars (technically not pulled by cable), their growth and demise brought to life with multiple real rides with experts from a bygone era. Toddler destination. Reasonably priced. Beautifully restored and maintained
