    My son attends Ivymount. They have been wonderful working with him through his challenges of being an autistic adolescent. They are understanding and therapeutic without neglecting the high academic standards which we expect of our son. He has improved leaps and bounds over the past year. I would recommend this school to any parent(s)/guardian(s) who want to see their child with High Functioning Autism begin to succeed in social and emotional areas.

    As the director of a private mental health practice in Northern Virginia, parents frequently ask me about school programs and placements for their children -- and Ivymount is always top on my list of recommendations. From It's multi-modal educational approach, to it's high caliber, warm and engaging teachers and staff, this is one of the best schools around for children with disabilities. If your child has developmental delays, autism, speech and language/communication deficits or significant physical or health struggles, I highly recommend a visit to Ivymount.
