St Margaret's Day Care has served my family for years and I cannot say enough about how great this school/daycare is. Mrs. Harvey is the greatest Director I have EVER met. She is the " Mother Hen". My son attended when he was in Pre-K, now he's a thriving 7th grader. Now my youngest son attends and nothing has changed in the character of this great establishment. These teachers care and they love your babies as if they were their own. You feel like a family. I love that these women are "seasoned" and give you peace of mind knowing your child will be taken care of while you're at work. Take MY WORD you will never forget such a place, I know I won't. I appreciate you all at St. Margaret's. Mrs. Nicole, Mrs Bunni, and Father D, I will never forget your kindness and passion towards the growth of my children. Thank you!
I signed my 3 yr old daughter up for St. Margaret Early Learning in Sept of 2017 and thus far I have enjoyed them. In the beginning I thought it had something to do with the Catholic religion but it doesnt they are totally seperate. The staff is very extraordinary with the children, well mannered and orientated. I choose this daycare because it was the exact thing I was looking for in a learning facility compared to other in the largo, district heights areas. They have individual classrooms for individual learning time verses an open area, they offered breakfast/lunch/snacks w/o an extra fee and it's AFFORDABLE! They have an older staff which is too me the best instructors for our children with the patience, nurturing and genuine love they receives verses a young girl who just looking for a check. They offer potty training for them with no extra fee. The instructors keep them on a schedule daily which I also love; often my daughter comes home singing education songs. They range for ages 2 to pre school, before & after care and transportation. I would recommend St. Margarets to anyone who felt the same way I did when it comes to looking for a daycare for your child.
I must say-- I am truly happy with my decision to place my daughter at this child care center. I was a bit apprehensive at first because I am not of Catholic faith, but I am glad my husband and I chose this school.
Her teacher Ms. Robin (as well as every other teacher/school worker , along with the principal, Ms Harvey) is caring, yet firm when necessary, which is just what my three year old needs. My daughter loves going there and always looks forward to going the next day unlike her prior day care (Angels & Cherubs in Largo, MD).
Ms. Robin is an awesome and patient teacher and the children love her. I have noticed that every day she takes the time to have quick one-on-ones with us parents about how our children are learning, if there is something additional they need to work on, and also tips to help them learn at home; whereas at her other school this did not occur. Along with learning sight words, how to write, colors, shapes, and other preschool activities, the children learn manners and respect.
I love this place, and honestly, the only thing I would change about this school is the lunch. They serve fruit and vegetables with the main courses, but the main courses almost always tend to be cold cut sandwiches, fish sticks, or hot dogs which is standard American school lunch fare, but not my cup of tea. :)
My daughter started last September with Ms. Nicole and I love her! She is very sweet and my daughter now writes her name, speaks very clear, and has a passion for learning, etc. Our second year at this center is coming up and I must say I am excited! My 3 y/o loves school! Mrs. Harvey has a great staff!
There are no words to really express how much I love this school and the teachers here. Truly a blessing in my children's life. Mrs. Harvey is the best. They are wonderful. My kids come home so well spoken, always want to read, excited to clean up, sharing with company at our home, asking wonderful question. I'm sad that my kids will be leaving soon for regular school.
