Angie is a miracle worker. If you are in the aerial community (pole, circus, etc.) you need to see her -- don't wait until you have an injury; go to her for an assessment and a comprehensive pre-hab plan BEFORE you get injured. I started seeing her to improve the mobility in an old (17+ years) scar through dry needling (which has improved my ankle extension by several degrees). Now I see her at least once a month to keep up with the demands of training pole at high level while also being a desk-bound day jobber which presents it's own host of imbalances and issues. Previously I was concerned about seeing doctors -- I find that many don't listen or when you try to "Sherlock Holmes" your own body, they can be dismissive. Now I save a list of random issues to talk to Angie about and she applies her years of experience and critical understanding of aerialists to use all the many tools (dry needling, deep tissue work, exercises and other manual therapies) at her disposal to provide comprehensive relief. In addition to being incredibly intelligent and patient (both in listening to my random list of woes and explaining what she's doing so I become educated about my own body), she also genuinely cares about her patients.
Angie is the only physical therapist I will see in the future. She performed extensive physical therapy for me after an ACL surgery 7 years ago and I now have an excellent range of motion and a normal knee again thanks to her. Now I am seeing her for a new injury and I continue to be thrilled with her work.
Angie is highly educated and very smart but not cocky. She respects your doctors diagnosis and treats that but does her own investigation as well. Her therapy gives excellent results quickly.
She is also a kind person. She works hard for the patient whether this entails fighting with insurance, forcibly bending the patients knee despite patient cries because this is the only way to regain ROM, or altering her schedule when at all possible. I’m not sure when she finds time to sleep. She truly wants to help patients and is extremely effective.
I have only a physical therapy consumer relationship with Angie and do I not profit in any way from this review. I am merely a very satisfied customer who wishes to share my experience with others in need of PT.
