“This review is for Tippet Automotive. John Tippet is one of the few honest mechanics in the area, won't up charge you, will tell you how to do it yourself, prompt, hard working, diligent at tricky jobs. Earlier in the summer I ran over a tire which knocked out the AC in my 2006 Prius. I took it to my mechanic (a Meineke), he said it was probably a hose, turns out it killed my condenser, or so I was told, and charged $600 to replace it. Two weeks later, my AC is blowing warm air when it's 100 degrees out. I take it back, they say my compressor is shot, that I needed a new one, $1600! That's maybe half of what the car is worth! I took to John Tippet and he found me one for $900 but tried to fix the AC first. He refilled it and the AC was cold again, drove it for a week, still cold, no leaks. Turns out it was something simple as a stuck valve from someone rushing when disconnecting the Freon after replacing the condenser. He only charged me for the Freon and one hour labor, and saved me $900! Tippet is now my new mechanic.”
