  Nothing is perfect but this leans closer to a 5 than a 4. I went in around 9pm a few weeks ago with my male bullmastiff because he was having trouble breathing and wasn't walking well. They took him to the back and did some sonagraphy and found blood around his heart, it was bad but after talking to the doctor I made the decision to take him home and hope he made it to the vet appointment I had scheduled for the next day. At about 3:30am he work me up in clear distress and was struggling to breathe again. I took him in as quick as I could and the vet on duty was very respectful with what she was saying and very clear. I made the decision to put him down and we quickly filled out the paperwork and they brought him to me. They asked if I wanted more time, of course I did, but he was suffering and it was time. They were again respectful of me and my pain and comforted me until it was time to go. Since I have received sympathy cards that were personalized and hand written from both of the doctors I saw that night. In the worst of times, it was the best experience it could be.
  
  The question also comes to cost, I feel like the cost was very reasonable given it was an emergency and his condition. I would absolutely recommend this emergency vet without a doubt.

  They helped me when it came time to say goodbye to my loving pooch a year ago and they helped me with my new little buddy when he needed help. Friendly staff, gentle vets, and caring people all around. Thanks!!!

  My dog was in pain all night and wouldn’t stop crying. My regular vet wasn’t able to see him right away. They were able to see him as soon as we walked in the door and do x-rays within the hour. Very reasonable pricing and absolutely wonderful doctor and staff. I highly recommend.

  This place saved my dogs life. Wish I could give it 100 stars. Very, very, professional, kind, patient, understanding, answers every question, reasonable and up front on cost. Open 24/7, 365 days a year. You can call in and talk to the doctor anytime. Thank you for saving Chelsea's life!!!

  The service, availability and professionalism cannot be beat! The physician was AWESOME! They took such good care of my pet (stupid cat!). I would highly recommend Mountain View Animal Emergency Hospital.
