“Loved my fish taco, fish sandwich and french onion soup! Nice cool place. Spacious, clean and lots of tables. Crew is ready to assist me in my order and was very patient since i could not decide what to eat. The order was quickly served fresh and hot. Fish sandwhich was huge! “Came here recently with family to enjoy a cookie sundae for dinner and had an excellent experience. There was ample parking and a lovely outdoor seating area with picnic tables and string lights. The girl taking orders weals very sweet and let us take out time (since it was our first visit) and explained the menu to us. There were so many good choices. I enjoyed a kid’s size (which uses half a cookies instead of a whole one) with chocolate chip cookie, salted caramel truffle ice cream, and hot fudge with whipped cream. Can’t wait to come back soon. Everything tastes very fresh and delicious.”

“Pricy but outstanding seafood, cooked just to done state, moist, flaky, and full of flavor. Spicy grits were also an excellent side. Good beer selection, including Big Oyster (part of the chain) and other nearby craft breweries. Service was great, but ambiance on the first floor is usually noisy due to a central, often rowdy bar population. Still a welcome addition to the Berlin scene.”

“People may not believe this but the best Crabcake I've had in OC was at Hemingway's. Not the biggest or best value but the best tasting. Huge lump, creamy with a hint of spice. Broiled to perfection. I got a steak and it was cooked perfect,, nice, fresh veggies, my wife got the crabcakes and they were Amazing! They were so good, I got 2 to go. Someone at our table got the seafood pasta and it was loaded with crab, shrimp, scallops, etc.. They raved about it. It's a weird place to dine, right next to the indoor pool, and the service, while friendly, was really slow and we were overcharged for items we didn't order, but they corrected this and bought us a drink.. The bar area is nice with large selection of beers, but the food was great and I will definitely be back”

“My husband and I was away and he suggested that we eat here. I wasn't comfortable with the idea. Eating out isn't one of my favorite things to do. Because i pay attention to details and being in the restaurant industry makes me even more aware. From the time we walk in until the end of service I was very impressed. The host greeted us with a smile, the guy playing the piano did the same. It didn't take long for our server to greet us. Food came out with no problems. I was very satisfied with the service we received. If I lived in ocean City this would be our date night place to eat.”

“Mid-day is a good time to eat with family. Service is great, food gets to you faster. The crab Mac and cheese is extra cheesy, creamy, fully cooked pasta with perfect chunks of crab meat. The loaded crab and bacon fries was a delight. Perfect amount of crab, crispy thick bacon, freshly cut chives, with jalapeño and melted cheese to top it of on some perfectly thick wedges. This mix on your fork is amazing. The chicken wings are incredible. Fried to the point where is delicious to bite and safe to swallow. The cheeseburger and fries was okay, meat should have some seasoning to it with double the. American cheese. The fries are great, thick cut and yummy.”

“Had a great time at Brothers Bistro and the food was good. I had the surf and turf and the crab cake was delicious. The steak on the other hand was good but I’ve had better. But let’s be honest here, you don’t go to Ocean city and expect great steak. Go to Texas for some great steak. My wife had the Lasagna and had a taste. It was good. Very cheesy and the sauce was good. The atmosphere was good and clean. We sat outside and you sit up a little higher then the average height of a person so you don’t see any people walking by unless you side at the edge. Great view of the ocean too. Inside was empty but it was a nice day so I didn’t expect many inside. Staff was also friendly and always around whenever I needed anything. Would come back again. Menu had a big selection.”

“Backshore has three great things going for it- the beer, the location, and the music. When I was there in October, the sun was shining, jam bands were coming through the speakers, and the beer was flowing. They are located right on the boards, with a direct view of the sand and ocean. Can't get better than that. Lots of outdoor tables for people watching and sun soaking. My wife isn't a beer fan but they had several mixed drink options to keep her happy. Definitely hit this place on a nice day, especially in the off-season.”
