“I am a young stroke survivor. I had my first stroke in Dec 2013 at 27, and my second stroke came in November 2021 at 35. Clarity Speech and Cognition were a Godsend! Firstly I could not find any speech therapist in Prince Georges county. My insurance provided a couple of numbers to call, but they were not speech therapists, and one woman said she quit! Clarity Speech and Cognition (Miriam) was fantastic! She came to my house, and we discussed my goals and listened to me. She understood my intellect and catered to our plan to return to my career and life! Without her, I would not be where I am today! She got me my life back! I cannot thank you enough! We still communicate now and again to discuss my goals and what is going on! If I could give Miriam 10 stars, I would!”

“These Nurses, and Gna’s are right up with the tops of the top.I’ve been here 12 days in the rehab unit. I couldn’t find anything that comes remotely close to the experience here. Everyone tries their bast to make your stay as easy and comfortable as possible. There are so many people who work here it’s hard to Single anyone out. Wills is the Assistant administrator. Who makes it his place to help if there big or small.problems I have had no issues here. The staff is commendable for the effort. You will discover that they check in with each patient several times a day. The call button is answered with in minutes. I have to say that I seen swift and immediate response if there is a problem. I have seen from my perspective that almost every problem that I have seen are from “ Agency Fill employee’s.Birch Manor masses. Them leave and not return. Birch Manor works hard to make sure that their employees stand up to their standards. If you don’t want to give %100 on any patients positive stay here. And they really don’t tolerate anything less then that————then you don’t belong here. They are weeding out the bad seeds and have many flower's in their place.”

“Dr. Liz Wheeler and Launch are incredible! My husband and I have been working with Dr. Liz for more than 7 years, before she opened Launch. She has served as our fitness trainer but really does much more since she holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy and has expertise in many areas. She devised an individualized program for us which changes as we gain strength and competency. I'm in my late 60's and bone density is an issue for me. As a result of my weight bearing exercise program, I have reversed a trend of bone loss. I have also worked with one of Dr. Liz's excellent physical therapists after having meniscus tear surgery. Her PT plan enabled me to gain strength and return to my exercise program. I've admired the other Launch trainers when they work with middle and high school sports teams. They very skillfully encourage these kids individually while developing the team as a whole. The facility is state of the art and offers a wide range of services beyond what I've reviewed here. And it is an easy drive from NW DC. Launch deserves more than 5 stars!”

“First of all the office is around the corner from my house. That said as soon as I walked in I was greeted very pleasantly. I was taken back and the atmosphere just felt nice and peaceful. “If I were a negative person I would give Maryland Masonic Homes a one star because of Maggie Kelly. However I know Maryland Masonic Homes has given me a life changing experience at the facility. And the care team is awesome. However, the reason why I would not be returning to Maryland Masonic Homes is Maggie Kelly. This is probably one of the worst decisions made in the organization. I have never seen an individual so bent on tearing apart teams and creating tension within staff. Maggie has created an environment promoting tension in the staff and making everyone feel completely undervalued. As someone who has given care in hospitals for a long time, I know when someones character is divisive creating greater turn overs in a hospital. Even though I enjoyed working at Maryland Masonic homes before this person came on board I will not be returning. When a leader sows discord among staff members, gossips, is extremely rude, and finds ways to undermine employees confidence, then I am better off somewhere else where team spirit is promoted and employees respected for their contributions. If I were given the opportunity to make a review of the staff Maggie Kelly would be given a 1 in the absence of 0, but at the same time I think of all the other staff that put in so much to make Masonic Homes a great facility thats why I will rather see them prosper hopefully in the absence of this individual.”

“I started working out with Chad sometime in Fall of 2015 (I think) as I needed to be committed to an appointment to get myself to the gym. He came highly recommended by a friend so I began working with him and have enjoyed it ever since. Chad is very knowledgeable in what he does and listens to what you want. He makes working out FUN! He helps me push myself but also listens and makes adjustments if I say something is hurting because of something I did since my last workout.”
