“Thank you to Cynthia & Big Country's Place staff! Our church, Christ Foundation Church in Waldorf, MD held our annual Community Festival on Saturday, August 21st. We normally use another company for our horses, but they were unavailable. I reached out to Cynthia & she assured me they could provide what we needed and more. We usually provide 2 ponies to ride for the children in the community. Cynthia brought 3 horses, so children & adults could ride. The adults had as much fun as the children! “This boat tour was awesome! Definitely go with the 1 hour option. Andy was so fun and friendly, and his invention really is awesome. The boat is sturdy and the seats are comfortable. I got to relax and take in the views while my husband helped paddle. Towards the end my husband got to try out the water walking, which was so fun! There happened to be a boat show going on so we got to pass some pretty cool yachts and boats. It was a beautiful day with beautiful views! Loved it!!”

“We took the “Journey Back in Time” tour. I was extremely impressed by the full-day of adventure that Terry planned for us. Starting with a delicious breakfast at Mr Cream, a scenic drive to Alta Vista, a hike to King’s pool, then another scenic drive to hot springs! Terry taught us about the history of each area, including the petroglyphs, allowed us to take our time and was really fun to hang out with. It’s just before the wet season, so the King’s pool is dry, but it was a great opportunity to hike further up river to explore. Touring with Terry is a one of a kind experience and very unique compared to other tours.”

“We traveled to Africa in August 2018 and visited Rwanda, Uganda, and Tanzania. The tours were very well organized and could not have asked for a better experience or accommodations. Every guide and driver we had were knowledgeable, personable, and funny. They really wanted you to have the best Safari experience possible. In Uganda, it was such a great experience to see the gorillas in the rain forest. It was a hard trek but totally worth the experience. We got to see so much wildlife in Tanzania (lions, zebra, cape buffalo, hyena, jackals, cheetah, elephant and so much more), but most importantly we were lucky to see 5 Wildebeest migrations across the river! We were really impressed with the food offerings and the chef at each camp was sensitive to the dietary needs of our party (vegetarian for one traveler and lactose sensitivity to another). From the early morning game drives and morning tea in the bush, to afternoon lunches at the camps, to beautiful sundowners in the evening, and delicious dinners we felt catered to at every stop. The staff at each camp was amazing! We look forward to our next trip over to Africa!”
