“I have been taking my pets to Dr. Mira for 9 years and I have never felt like I was not getting the best care. He is always willing to listen to your concerns about treatments (financial & otherwise). Like all practitioners, he does things they way he feels is best. It does not mean there aren't other ways to do similar care treatments but just as if you were the patient, you are in the drivers seat and can make educated decisions for your pet with the advice of a caring staff and Veterinarian. “I have the Banfield optimum wellness plan for my now 2 year old golden retriever and around New Year’s Eve he started having trouble keeping food down. I tried calling the ER and they advised me to hang tight till Monday and call his primary vet office on Monday morning when they open and ask they see him since it’s urgent. No other Banfield location was willing to see him except this particular location. They were so kind and understanding they had me do a drop off and took very good care of my Loki. Not only that but they were very mindful of the costs I would spend and tackled issues in a very impressive matter. I am very grateful to Dr pollard and the whole team that worked with Loki that day! “I have known Dr. Diarra both professionally and as a client for over 18 years. He is without a doubt, one of the gentlest and most compassionate people I have ever known. As a professional, I had assisted "Dr. D" in caring for all manner of exotic, avian, and pocket pets. In addition, he took amazing care of dogs and cats with compassion and skill. He did all of this while working as the medical director for a large chain veterinary hospital. Happily, he struck out on his own to forestville. For those few negative reviews here, ignore them. Dr. D is a professional who has a deep well of experience from which to draw from. That being said, he is not afraid to refer out to specialists when the situation requires. Lastly, his compassion is extraordinary. When we discovered a tumor on our beloved cat's gum during a teeth cleaning we were concerned. The biopsy revealed aggressive cancer. Dr D offered to refer us to a specialist, but we both knew this type of cancer meant just months. We brought our Charlie home where she was back to herself. She lived out her time showered with love from our kids. Dr D would check in from time to time. And when Charlie's time came, he allowed us as much time as we needed to grieve. He even stayed late to make sure my kids could say goodbye to their first cat. If you are looking for fancy lighting and lattes brewing, head over to the district. If you are looking for a solid clinician who REALLY treats each pet like his own, please visit Dr. Abdoul Diarra. You will not regret it.”
