“Have been coming here off and on for years. Tucked away in a lovely neighborhood adjacent to a MARC commuter station in a house like structure. Food has always been consistently good. Wait staff also well trained and friendly. On our most recent visit I enjoyed the burger (pictured) which comes with small side salad and today very thinly sliced Onion rings. Burger was cooked as I ordering it, medium rare. Others enjoy the grain salad, another had shrimp and grits, all were pleased with the choices. Beverages are coke products, a fair beer selection, heavy on local craft beer and a good wine selection. Didn't see spirits or cocktails offered. (Pictured is Brewer's Art Resurrection Dubbel) We did have desserts - lemon mousse cake and a hazelnut chocolate creation of some kind, people tore into the desserts before I could take a picture. I thought appetizers and main dishes were better than desserts. Again, very consistent quality of food and good service make this place worth a visit.”

“Great place to go for a walk or afternoon fishing trip. Many benches around to sit and enjoy the lake and its waterfowl. You may catch a glimpse of small aircraft taking off or landing to the south at the College Park Airport, the longest continually operating airport in the world! The metro runs adjacent to the west side of the lake, but the birds don't seem to mind. You could walk right up to them! (But don't. They are wild animals and will f@&k you up!)”

“Run, do not walk, to hire April and her amazing team for your wedding or honestly any event where you want to look and feel your absolute best!!!! I hired April to do my hair and makeup for my wedding, and I have honestly never felt more beautiful in my life. She really takes into account your natural hair texture and color, eye color, skin tone, and is able to create the perfect look for your day. My bridesmaids had a variety of hair textures and skin tones, and everyone looked perfect when they left the chair. The entire hair and makeup process for my bridal party was so relaxed, professional, and seamless and we all had the most fun morning getting ready together. April and her team are obviously great at what they do with hair and makeup, but April is also extremely professional with the business side of things (timely issuing of contracts, clear and consistent communication, open and easy to talk to about your vision for hair and makeup, the list goes on). She recommends doing a hair and/or makeup trial before your event (not a required service but I HIGHLY recommend it!!!) where you can bring in inspiration photos and discuss your vision about your hair and makeup and literally do a trial run of how you will look on your big day. I am so glad that I did a trial because my original vision of what I wanted my curly textured hair to look like looked nice, but it didn't really feel like "me" and I was able to figure that out in my trial and we were able to shift gears to a style that made me feel STUNNING and completely authentic at my wedding. April and her assistant also did the hair for all five of my bridesmaids and my two moms, the full makeup for two bridesmaids, and eyelashes and lips for the other bridesmaids. Everyone looked so beautiful all night long and all of our hair and makeup looked flawless through my entire wedding after a LOT of dancing on a summer evening.”
