  This review is long overdue. My mom, who just turned 95 was first at Longmeadow for rehab following hospitalization. She was there 3 weeks and received amazing care from a staff that is second to none. After her release she was home for nearly a month and her health deteriorated pretty quickly. By this time she was under the care of Old Colony Hospice, itself an incredibly wonderful agency. When we could no longer care for her at home, we were happy to find that Longmeadow was able to take her in. We were so fortunate to have her there. Within a month she had completely bounced back and we brought her home again.
  
  People have misconceptions and stereotypes about nursing homes. Longmeadow is a very different facility. From the moment you walk in, you notice that the place is bright, cheerful, and impeccably clean. You expect to find that "nursing home smell", but not at Longmeadow! The housekeeping staff keeps the place clean and fresh at all times.
  
  Now that my mom is home and doing quite well, on her behalf I want to thank the staff at Longmeadow for their caring, professional, and efficient care and for their sensitivity and patience with our family. Ashley, Brook, Anna and the rest of the nursing staff are absolutely amazing in their patience, professionalism and in their genuine regard for the patients. My mom thrived under their care. The PA, James, always found time to answer our questions and his expertise directly contributed to my mom's almost miraculous improvement. Even the housekeeping staff took time to visit with my mom while engaged in their duties. The CNAs were always available to assist my mom or to listen to her complaints.
  
  My mom has been home for just over a month and someone from the social services department called me to ask how she was doing and to remind me that they are always willing to assist in any way they can. In summary, it is reassuring to our family to know that if my mom requires nursing home care again in the future that we can count on the staff at Longmeadow of Taunton to care for her as if she were their very own.

  I just transferred my mom yesterday from another nursing home where she was absolutely miserable. She got an incredibly warm welcome at a Longmeadow. The facility is very attractive and extremely clean. It smells lovely when you walk in the door. Every employee we encountered was warm, kind, friendly and patient. They made the transition for my mom a breeze! They are proactive in their care and very responsive to her needs. When her mattress was uncomfortable, they immediately exchanged it for an air mattress. Her room is comfortable and each room has an air conditioner. The place where she was at had central air but it didn’t reach her room. It was miserable when we came to visit. Longmeadow is bright, cheerful and well-appointed. They have nourishment kitchens where guests can grab a cold drink or a snack and patients can store items that need to be refrigerated for a few days. Staff makes sure nothing is left longer than that so the fridge is kept clean. I was a patient at Longmeadow myself a year-and-a-half ago when I went for rehab after a total hip replacement. I was there for 3 weeks and well taken care of. I can’t say enough good things about a Longmeadow! You can go in any time and take a tour with no appointment necessary. That’s what I did. I hadn’t seen the long term care floors while in rehab. I was so impressed that when I heard a bed was available, I grabbed it. Mom and I couldn’t be happier!

  My Mom recently passed away at the age of 97. She had been a resident of Longmeadow for almost 2 years. As an RN of 40 years I have nothing but positive words to say about this facility and the care my Mom and the support that my husband and I received from the staff. Mom's last days were difficult and the nursing staff that we got to know as family especially on evenings did everything they could to keep my Mom comfortable and keep us informed of any changes and were very sensitive to our needs as well.
  Again as a seasoned RN when it came time to place my Mom there was no doubt that Longmeadow was where I wanted her to be. I have worked at a screener for Home Care for years and living in the area have screened in all the facilities in Taunton, Raynham, Bridgewater and Middleboro areas and this is where I wanted her to be.
  The care she received was genuine, loving, and compassionate. My mother died in what she came to know as her home.
  Everyone from food aides, aides, and nurses took care of her as I would do which brought our family great comfort.
  There was never a doubt where "Ma" should go when the time came. Thank you all for being there and times my husband and I couldn't. We always knew we were leaving her in capable hands. "THANK YOU"
