    The Park memorializes Hannah Duston, Dustan or Dustin las homestead, who was captured by indians and escaped during the 1697 King William’s War before the nearby Duston Garrison House (42.796429, -71.110927) was completed. There are several places named after her and a statue in G.A.R. Park (42.776913, -71.077532).
