On Monday December 4th I had gone out shopping with my great nephew, and I got a flat tire on Merrimack Street. I spent about 20 minutes trying to get someone to help. And officer Rob Capploa drove by and he turned around and came back to my vehicle. He changed my tire for me. He was such a nice person. Very pleasant and helpful. He even took a few minutes to talk to my 4 year old great nephew, who loves Police and their cars. Firemen as well. I want to thank officer Rob Coppola again. He was our angel on Monday afternoon.
These men and women are an example of how law enforcement should be across the nation. I have had a few interactions with MPD since I moved here 3 years ago. Each officer approached me as an equal, told me what the issue was, and left it at that. Their level headed approach to law enforcement encourages respect and cooperation on both sides. When you get treated like a human by police, it makes you want to treat them with even MORE respect than you should already because you really get a sense that the MPD are here for nothing other than to protect their amazing town.
Me and my brother were approached by Officer Harris and he explained to us that we had a headlight out. Officer Harris was super cool, professional and down to earth, which I was very happy to see as a resident to our town of Merrimac. He must have been trained well and truly cares how he handles himself and others on the job... Its the little things like this that make communities like ours shine. #MPDFTW
