Sita Van runs a top knotch fitness class full of weights, Cardio, kicking, punching and sweat! I also take Risa's Sunday morning boot camp class. I love the variety both teachers offer.

(October 29, 2014, 9:15 am)BEST WORKOUT EVER! One of my friends kept telling me about MKA but I never really paid attention to it. I tried Barre9, Title Boxing and many other clubs. After a while I always got bored from the repetitions, same exercises day after day after day....
MKA is different; it is fun! I am following the P90X program (but MKA offers Karate, Cardio Kick, Men’s Fitness and more). Every class is unique, it is hard, it is challenging. I joined in June and thought it will eventually get easier but it just DOES NOT. The dynamic of the owner and instructor Sita Van, Kristin, his wife who manages the club and helps with nutrition and all the members is so unusual and more personal than in any clubs. You are not a number, you are a distinctive person. People joke, laugh or cry! You know everyone's name, so much more intimate and fun that way! The training (even though we all follow the same daily program) is geared toward your need thanks to Sita who helps modifying any exercises. The yoga is one of the best - and that was a hard one to sell because I love my hot yoga place in Beverly (I still do love it!)-. You never know which yoga class you are going to get (the hard core, the stretching, and the massaging one).
Almost forgot my body is changing! I am almost 50 and not easy to modify any parts of your body at that age but it is working. I have more to go but little by little I am getting more definitions; my body is getting toner and all that without being on any diet. I see results and I still eat everything - Kristin if you read that I am trying to cook healthier, I swear! - But there is no restrictions, just maybe some moderations.
Well that's it - I could write and praise forever! Do I get another sticker for my review?

(August 14, 2014, 3:19 pm)MKA is a wonderful, family oriented studio in our community. Our son has been training there, in Kenpo Karate, for two years under Mr Van and I love the attending the fun & challenging Cardio Kickboxing classes. Mr Van is outstanding with children of all ages and temperaments. The children know that the expectations are high but that Mr Van will not only guide them but make it fun along the way. They respect him and he respects them in return. The adult classes will get you in shape. Best of all, the exercises vary nightly so it's never the same routine. I highly recommend MKA and Mr Van.
