I've been seeing Dr.Little a few years now and he is absolutly wonderful ! He doesnt waste time! my appoitments are quick an easy, he listens and cares and gives me advice on any problems I'm having ! if I call to be seen they have me come in right away, the lady's at the front desk are even more wonderful ! I highly recommend him!
Dr. Gavin Little has a neurology background and isn’t your normal run of the mill PCPs. If you are open, give full disclosure and tell him your problems, this man will help you if he can. In fact, if he CAN’T it’s only because he’s tried too hard to be empathetic and has either had the oversight from the “powers that be” (partially) clip his wings so to speak, or at least limit what he can do for you. I pray he’s not been used or burned by misleading patients presenting with symptoms that were untrue or taking advantage of what they don’t recognize is someone willing to go to bat and stick his own neck out for a MOMENT to help you get through a situation.
He’s not always there to maintain some treatments, but he was always there to get your started until you get to someone who would or more accurately “should”. I’ve met many a surgeon, be them orthopedic, vascular, even (real) plastic surgeons with orthopedic specialities etc. I’ve seen several neurologists, endocrinologists, podiatrists, gastroenterologists, even internists and Gavin Little’s bedside manner stands with the best of them.
As I said, if you are disappointed, chances are it was some other terrible patients (and if up to him, he’d put up with A LOT) that tied his hands as to what he could do for you. Great man as well as a doctor. Not just a PCP but something greater. A great neurologist for certain. I even used him as a second opinion expecting to hear something more conservative, but he actually cared I was not yet better and recommended I maintain a regimen that many doctors would have told me to discontinue. Instead he feared for potential continued suffering and injuries not yet healed.
Now I didn’t take his advice and rolled the dice and toughed it out, but it said something to me about his compassion if he’s allowed to assert it. In a way he saved my life at one point, got me started on a regimen until I could have specialists take it over and he stood by his promise when a few didn’t do what I felt was best and he stood by me until we found someone who did. Even after the switch I didn’t ruin his good name and tried to be a model patient for the specialist because he was in sense vouching for me. You should too and feel lucky if he’s willing to take you on a patient.
