“Out of town for wedding and needed great coffee for 5. They graciously loaned me a carafe for the morning of some of the best coffee around here. Going the extra mile for a complete stranger, these guys are the best! Make the effort to go a little further for something special in the morning. You guys are the best!!”

“This little shop has an abundant selection of pet/outdoor bird/equine foods and some accessories. Compare prices to Chewy and you'll find they are in line or even less! Your purchase comes with extremely knowledgeable and caring advice, if needed.”

“A nice restaurant in a very old building, I believe the building was here in 1675! I had scallops which came out in a generous portion, piping hot, and flavorful. The server did everything well and the overall experience was relaxing. My only minor critique is that we sat in the booth where the leather padding was torn up and in definite need of replacing.”

“Love the food! Our family recently descended upon the restaurant (15 adults and 2 kids!) and enjoyed scallops, clams, lobsters and oysters. And lots of onion rings! It was fantastic. Better than Woodman's.”

“We've hosted two staff retreats with Essex in the past two years. One was with 25 people, and the other with 60, and both turned out great. Christine and Cecilia are super welcoming, helpful, and accommodating. The space is amazing for group meals, big staff meetings and small breakout sessions, as well as great hangout options (campfire, board and card games, spa and sauna, trails). It's a great place for staff members to bond and connect.”

“The Pines trail is awesome. Handicapped access makes this a special trail to see woodland and songbirds ESPECIALLY in the coming weeks. Travel slow and listen you will hear the birds 1st then see them. Great photo opps exist here for the patient birder. The observation deck provides expansive marsh views. The post to the right of the osprey nesting platform is always a perfect place for patching eagles, hawks and falcons! Note: parking lot is small so be patient also pick up a single piece of trash if you can, unfortunately our other nature lovers aren't so kind and leave alot behind...Enjoy!”

“My family was staying at a nearby hotel, and I picked white horse for dinner on a Friday night based on Google reviews. Great choice! Seemed like mostly local customers. Google description says "fine dining" but it's not, more of a local bar with great food. Seafood was really fresh, cooked well, and reasonably priced. Chowder, scallops, onion rings, spinach, fish tacos were all excellent. Everything was on the"well-seasoned" side bordering on spicy, which I like. Two kids shared a 10" pizza that was easily 14". Pizza sauce was a little too sweet for me, but I'm from Chicago and that's probably personal preference. Service was very friendly and attentive.”
