Beautiful chapel in the heart of MIT campus. No matter what your denomination is, you should visit this quiet and peaceful place. If possible visit during day time because the design is such that if the day is bright sun light will come in through small little windows making beautiful light effects.

Serene interior; amazing altar system that descends into the basement where each denomination has places to store their trappings. Seeing a Catholic altar descend and a Lutheran one ascend a few minutes later reinforces that it is not the building that makes a church - it's the congregation. I'm an agnostic, attended in the early 1960's, but always found the chapel to be a peaceful place.

Breathtakingly beautiful place. We are MIT students and one day just decided to adventure inside. One of the best decisions ever made. Very calm chapel with a little podium surrounded by strings of golden leaves hanging from the ceiling. Sat down to enjoy the serenity. Hugged each other and nearly burst into tears when we left.

This tiny chapel has a beautiful flow of water from the inside to the outside of the building. Intricate, curvilinear masonry really pushes preconceived notions of materiality potential. Situated slightly off the beaten path, this chapel is such a lovely and peaceful surprise.

Both the mass and MIT Chapel are unapologetically functionalist in contrast to the generalist style of most campus masses I've visited: so it's not for everyone, but for regular Catholics as it doesn't water anything down.
