  I had a planned c- section with Dr. Strehle, it was my second birth and it went very smooth. The hospital stay was great the nurses were wonderful with the baby and taking care of mama and baby. Dr. Strehle is very skilled and my incision looks great. during the surgery one of the midwives sat with me to ease my anxiety and nervousness about getting the epidural. The process of going in for surgery was as expected- the midwives and dr. went over the process at one of my regular appointments at the end of the pregnancy. I'm very pleased with the over all experience!

  After almost 10 years of complaints about intense pain and heavy bleeding from my period, along with many doctors telling me it was “normal”, Avery Fisher at AFA is the first medical personnel who took my concerns seriously. I have never felt more listened to and reassured that I was in good hands, and until this visit had not yet met any medical personnel who took such time to validate my pain, discuss all options, and make a plan for improvement. All of the other available staff were extremely helpful and kind, and made my visit easy! Scheduling my next appointment and working around health insurance blocks were all taken care of in a professional and quick manner. After years of struggling to find a good OBGYN, I can’t say enough good things about AFA.

  I had my first experience with AFA OBGYN last week and had a very positive experience. The circumstances that made me need an urgent visit was very hard and sad for myself and my husband. From reception to Nurse Julie, and the mid wife I saw, everyone was so kind and patient with me. I had an issue and they got me right in to be seen and answer all my questions. I'm very happy I found this office and will recommend this office to my family and friends. I work as a nurse and I know how stressful the healthcare field is right now, so all your kindness did not go unnoticed and it made the biggest difference. Thank you again!

  I love the midwives at AFA! I tell any of my expecting friends to go there for their prenatal and delivery. They are also very educated on postpartum mental health and provided me with exceptional, trauma informed care after babies. They supported me when I needed it most.

  This place is fantastic! I don't know if this is normal for pregnancies or what but I have a high risk pregnancy and also a lot of health issues that are making things complicated. I feel so high maintenance at times but they have been completely responsive to my needs.
  
  I was a little apprehensive about changing physicians since I had a gynecologist and health center I liked but they work out of Framingham Hospital and I prefer to give birth at a place more local - and I heard good things about the facility at Emerson. They have an interesting concept where they have you see a different Dr. at every appointment since you really don't know who will be on call when you deliver. I wasn't so sure about this at first because I tend to stick to medical care professionals I like but everyone so far has been fantastic. Nurses and NPs are all warm and compassionate - have only seen Dr. Silk so far and I absolutely loved her. Their offices are clean, bright, and well laid out. They also lead me through the whole process and the appointments needed in a way that I appreciate.
  
  The only negative I can think of is the wayfinding as to how to get there. It can be a little confusing at first as the address leads to a different building. But everyone was helpful in directing us to the right place. Hospitals are confusing anyway but Emerson is extra confusing with all the different buildings.
