Burtons Grill & Bar of Framingham

  Ate here last night while my fiancée was getting her wedding dress fitted at David's down the street, and was super impressed by the service.
  
  TL;DR version: Wonderful service, solid food. Menu is well-thought-through, and has some nice twists on classics. Bartender made me feel super welcome and took great care of me despite the fact that I thought I was being difficult.
  
  Long version: I thought I was going to be "that guy"- sat at the bar, needed to kill an hour while she got her dress fitted, and wanted to order meals to go, but was waiting until her fitting was almost over (knew she'd be done at 9pm when they were trying to close, so just wanted to grab food to take home). The bartender (I think he said his name was Brian) was super nice, made me feel really welcome, and managed to make me feel well-cared-for but also not pressured at all. I got a glass of wine (Caymus Conundrum- really solid option for glass service) and a salad while I sat, and the salad came out almost immediately, under 5 minutes. It was a well-thought-out wedge salad- slightly elevated from what I'm used to, without being a crazy departure. When I did order entrees, they were also prepared quickly and came out in a bag all ready to go, with salad dressing on the side (their idea, not mine, and much appreciated!). When we did finally get to eat, we were quite happy with both the Maxx burger and California Chicken Sandwich. I'd say it's definitely worth the small uncharge to upgrade to parmesan rosemary fries; those were great!

  We have two young children and don't go out often, hard to spend money to find most of it uneaten or lying on the ground. We took a chance on Burton's since it was new to the area, and it was money well spent. Our server Sam was not only tolerant of our wild one's but also friendly and helpful. The food was amazing, get the cauliflower as an appetizer. If our kids were not expiring, I would have loved to try dessert, maybe next date night. (P.S. Truth be told, I went there for a work lunch prior so it wasn't that much of a gamble).

  Burton's is new to the area, so we thought we'd stop by and check it out. They have a scratch kitchen and were very solicitous about the possibility of food allergies. Our waiter, Tom, was quite accommodating and had excellent recommendations about the menu.
  
  We split the Fresh Catch risotto, Mahi-Mahi today, and had the Philly cheese steak spring rolls and parmesan & rosemary fries to go with that. Everything came out hot and tasty, and with a fair few more fries than we had expected! It was all worth the eating.
  
  At Tom's suggestion, we also split the key lime pie, which was an individually made miniature pie, larger than I was expecting, but justifying it's relative high price point with size and quality. In short, it was among the best I've had.
  
  If you have the opportunity, this place is well worth checking out.

  Awesome. We go out of our way to visit the Hingham location. Steak and cheese rolls at the bar are the favorite. Crab cakes 2nd. Looking forward to visiting the new location. Way closer to home in Newton.

  They have an excellent Bordeaux on the menu, cheap. Food is excellent for those with dietary concerns. Pleasant atmosphere.
