  An unassuming hidden gem in suburban Massachusetts. Gropius designed his own personal residence to showcase all the design principles that the Bauhaus school stood for. The tours conducted here do a nice job of providing historical context and there's a tiny shop at the front visitor desk.

  Certainly a must-see for all modern architecture enthusiasts. A house that Walter Gropius built for himself! Unusual budget way of functionalism..

  The priciest of the historical houses. Only realized that when I bought the $65 household membership to offset the $15 1h tour for this house. It was worth it for me given Gropius is the founder of Bauhaus. You can't touch anything, not even the curtains. A bit weird, and the size of group is limited through the house. It's not big but quite comfy feeling. I wish it were for sale. Some acres around the corner are for sales though...

  Great Architectural Masterpieces preserved. Very remote but worth visiting. Visit the Gropius and Breuer Houses, both are worth the visit.
  
  Great tours available too if you plan ahead. Call ahead to schedule and make sure you arrive between 11am and 3pm.
