    Our company has used Basnett for several important jobs including new furnace, AC updates, cleanings and some troubleshooting. They are responsive, they explain clearly what the problem is, and always give us options in how to work within our budget. The technicians are smart, reliable, prepared and always on time. We have only good things to say about Basnett Plumbing.

    I had Basnett Plumbing remove a fiberglass tub/shower unit and replace it with just a tub. They did a fine job with that and quickly left. I felt like they were in a real hurry to leave, they didn’t even accompany me to inspect their work. Upon first inspection, everything looked fine. I had my tile guy scheduled for the following day. He came in and started to tile the walls. Halfway through he called me in to point out that the shower head, spout, and overflow were not centered on the tub but were off by about 4 inches. Of course, I understand that the old fiberglass unit was thicker which caused the issue. However, if the Basnett guys had taken the time to explain the situation to me instead of just running off, I could have made an informed decision to have them fix it or just leave it. Now, my walls are tiled and to fix the problem will be a major expense. I’m really disappointed with their customer service.

    I have to say that I stand corrected. I am thoroughly impressed with the customer service that I have received from Basnett. Upon reading my initial 1-star review, they immediately sent someone to my house to inspect the work. We agreed that I would pay what I would have if the work was done at the time of install and they would pay to have the tile work repaired. I thought this was a reasonable solution. They sent someone out the following day (which happened to be a Saturday) and the work was completed within hours. My tile guy come out the next week to repair the tile. The tile work ended up costing more than the work that Basnett did. I paid the tile guy directly and worried that I might never be reimbursed for his work. However, once again the people at Basnett shocked me. I emailed over a copy of my check and the invoice from the tile guy and within days I received a check for the difference from Basnett. Once again, I stand corrected...Basnett Plumbing could give lessons on customer service!!!

    I called Basnett on Wednesday and they were here THRUSDAY MORNING. ( even though they had never heard of me before ) Originally I thought this was going to be a routine service call… And I asked for it because I had heard so many good things about Basnett that I wanted to be on their customer list..Turns out… Ironically… That the day before I called my air-conditioning started acting really funky…

    Enter Phineas! On time to the moment at 8 AM… Phineas was great… He was lovely to work with… He diagnosed my problem explained to me exactly what it would entail… Adding coolant.. and giving me the estimate of how much that would cost depending on how many pounds I would need ...

    And then… Luckily… As he was finishing up… The fan stopped running ... which I then remembered it had done periodically .. Phineas immediately turned his attention to that, while I went to work in my home office… turns out it was a good thing that he found the problem because the unit was getting quite hot .. when the job was done… He came to my office as I had asked… And told me exactly what he did ....

    I had a great experience with this company… I highly recommend them to anyone… They are prompt… Lovely… I had two very nice conversations with the two women who answer the phones… And I had a great experience with Phineas .. I hope I don’t need them for service soon… But if I do… I hope Phineas comes back !!

    Thanks to everyone at that company… And by the way they are an independent small company… Be advised… These are the people you want to call ..!!!! For real!!

    They are excellent and efficient in providing us with the proposal. We hoped that by the end of the work, everything should work as intended and no other issue raised for the installation that followed the actual work. So far, we had a moderate to a good but not excellent experience, and we would still use the offered service going forward since Basnett is the best in town. I'll stick with Basnett, and I hope you do too.

    Update: we had an electric overload-couple of appliances in addition to the electric water heater installed-, probably with the added electric water heater installed, instead of turning off the switch during the power overload designed or programmed in the panel, it burns the bathroom and the hallway switch. We have not received a quick response in terms of when to come or when it will be repaired. As I am writing, we still have no power in both areas: the hallway and the bathroom.

    We are using candles as I write to light the bathroom- we left the hallway dark. The electrical completed during the water heater installation caused this issue. Maybe we should have sub panel or upgrade in the switch, but we have never had a problem like this before the water heater installation.
    We are looking forward to a quick and permanent solution.

    We had them install ductless splits years ago and they're still working great with no issues. The entire company is extremely knowledgeable and wants to make sure whatever they do is efficient and will last as long as possible while keeping you comfortable and saving you money on energy. Highly recommend!
