  I first found Lauren Bateman on Facebook as I was searching for a guitar instructor. She has such a unique and rare style of teaching. I have made so much progress already and have only gone through the first several modules of the class. I am just blown away by her style, professionalism and passion that she has for music. You can see it in everything she does and how she relates her knowledge to her students is simply amazing. I have found my goto teacher for all things music. Thank you so much Lauren for waking up my passion once again for music in a way that I never dreamed I'd see. Your the best there is. Keep up the magic.

  We have experienced several teachers across a variety of instruments at LB Music School. What is consistent across all of them is a sincere effort to hear what the student wants to achieve with his or her lessons. And sometimes those goals change and the instructors adapt. The teaching style is always supportive and oriented towards blending both learning music and learning other aspects of music (be it music theory, sight reading, improvisation, or otherwise). What is especially fun is that we are there taking lessons as a kid and a parent. The parent is picking up a new instrument for the first time and the kid had so much fun with the first instrument that he is picking up a second. How many kids and adults do that? I think it speaks to the other aspect of taking lessons here: it feels like family. Everyone is supportive and friendly and it just motivates a person to learn more. As the adult in this pair, I can’t say enough about how rewarding it has been to pick up and progress in a new instrument. Finally, it says a lot when the owner and business manager both set aside successful careers in other walks of life because they „get“ what it means to make music accessible to everyone.

  LB Music school is a excellent place to bring your child to gain confidence in themselves and to learn to play a instrument. My daughter Nicolette has gone for three years and she has had the most wonderful teacher Mike who taught her how to play the guitar ???? beautifully. Not only did Mike teach her how to play he gave her confidence in herself by bringing out her amazing creative talent in a fun way. My daughter always looked forward to going to her weekly classes and also joining a band at LB with some great girls. I enjoyed going to each concert and seeing everyone’s amazing talent over the years. I would like to thank Mike for being such a great teacher and friend to my daughter. He is a amazing person and teacher and I can not say enough good things about him. By teaching my daughter the guitar he brought up my daughters confidence in herself so much. I would like to also say Thank You to Lauren the owner of LB music. She was very informative and accommodating with my daughters lessons and I thank her for opening such a wonderful school where people can learn and have fun while gaining confidence in themselves, that will last a lifetime!   Lauren and her team of fantastic teachers make learning music fun! They truly care about you, and you'll get a great music education there.

  I've been coming here since January, and I love it. When you first walk in, you'll find this welcoming entrance with bright walls and a wonderful receptionist who makes you excited for your lesson. I have had the pleasure of working with Jane the past few months and I feel so lucky to have her as my instructor! She is thoughtful in her teaching, she is open minded, and is an awesome musician herself. Jane is also funny, so that makes the lesson that much more enjoyable.
  
  I have no prior experience to guitar, or music for that matter. I really had no idea what I was doing prior to coming to LB music, which can be intimidating if you're starting something for the first time. LB music offers something called "Song Circle" for people of all skill levels. It encourages you to go out of your comfort zone just by playing in front of others. It makes you realize that you shouldn't hold back from trying something, even if you don't know what you're doing, that's the fun of it. Thank you LB Music for giving me the opportunity to learn, embrace change, and solidify my love and passion for music. I recommend this place to anyone!!
