(August 8, 2018, 12:57 pm)A nice little gem tucked along the Charles River between Auburndale and Waltham. The Auburndale Cove area is nice, always seems to be busy and full of kids, and the walking/running trail takes you all the way into Waltham with lovely views of the river and some of the buildings of Brandeis. Keep heading along the river and you end up at Moody Street after running alongside the old Watch Factory and the train tracks... and you can then connect with the trails that take you all the way downtown.

(January 16, 2018, 2:24 pm)Dogs on leash are welcome here, as they have been for years. However, as neighbors have complained thru the years about off-leash dogs, the "vibe" here has become more uptight, especially during the good weather. Here's the deal: hardly anyone walks here without a dog. The people who do come are often teenagers who are doing some "extracurricular" activities, as well as destroying park equipment, burning fires, and leaving their trash behind for those dog owners to pick up. Who would you rather have in your park: inconsiderate teenagers or concerned "people of the dog"?

(December 27, 2016, 12:09 pm)Great dog walking park with the shore of the Charles River along one side. Dogs love to play in the shallow water and some even swim out into the middle where its a bit deeper. There is also a veteranarian hospital at one end if there were ever an emergency.
