Loved it. Really cool place to visit, gives that whole vibe of transporting you back in time.
It was a large get together with friends. A very large space but warm just the same!
Impressive and amazing!
Wish more of the original buildings were still standing, but what is there is intriguing. The Tewksbury State Hospital was once a 1,000 acre self-supporting city. It housed orphanages, hospitals, asylums, dorms for men and women, farms and everything else necessary for life. The Public Health Museum and its tour guides helped to flesh out this world. Well worth a visit!
The Public Health Museum is an independent 501(c)3 organization, housed in the historic Richard Morris building, also known as the "Old Administration Building" of Tewksbury Hospital in Massachusetts, about nineteen miles northwest of Boston.
