“Went for husband's company Christmas party. Food was great. VERY impressed with their scotch and whiskey selections. Staff was courteous, and attentive. Bar was overwhelmed and understaffed - but only because the separate bar that was put in the actual function room for the party, was placed in a manner that made it nigh impossible to tell there WAS a second bar. So everyone from the function room flooded the main bar. There needs to be clearer delineation. Especially since you have to walk through the main bar to exit.”

“So I move clear across the country and what do I find basically walking distance from my new home but a Kenyan place! I haven't had Kenyan food in literally years and now I've found a favorite! First up, samosas, basically a large, stuffed "pastry" fried and filled with tasty things. If you've ever had Indian food, you can get similar things there. I'm fairly certain there's a vegetarian option, but we had the meat ones; I could easily just eat a whole meal just of those. Delicious! Then there's chapati (I didn't even know you could get decent chapati in the States!) whish for the uninitiated, is basically like a combination of a flat bread and a tortilla with this smoky sort of flavor that pairs well with everything. Now because it's a small space, they have a limited, rotating menu that changes daily. Today (Saturday) was this savoury beef stew with potatoes, peas, and a few other mixed vegetables that you could get with either (coconut) rice or chapati. (One guess which I picked. ;-p ) And then on recommendation by the housemates, I got a mango smoothie that basically tasted like mango lassi (a yogurt blended beverage) which you can get at most Indian restaurants and was delicious, which is strange because I don't even like mango, but whatever. Clearly, this is a new favorite and I will be going back, a lot, in the near future!”

The owners incredibly friendly and clearly loves what he does. This is the kind of place that should be incredibly successful. I encourage all people to go here it's a better experience even when they're swamped and the time delay to the food is a bit longer than you would have wanted, the experience here would be far greater than any restaurant corporate chain like Chili's, the 99, or Applebees. There is often live music here although don't really expect to go rocking out. The decor is pretty cool. The location is on a main road practically a secondary Highway. Having a mead selection at the bar be the only major Improvement I could think of.”

I noticed during my last visit how deliberately out-of-the-ordinary dishes like the deliciously complex Twice Fried Fish are interspersed with more common Chinese-American favorites on the menu. There will be always hit and misses, but the food is amazing and it represents the authenticity’s of its originality. Will definitely recommend and will order again. Don’t be misguided for the people leaving bad reviews just because they didn’t get enough ketchup... that’s an absurd. My rating is based on food only, the girl singing on radio is a quirk but it doesn’t affect my taste. Eventually they will straighten up and get up to speed on how business runs.”
