Some of our students reviews and why Senchant's Art of Teaching is
"The area's finest music lesson program". We care and "You deserve the best"

“I highly recommend Bernie for both adults and kids. He is a gifted guitar teacher. He is a total pro and absolutely passionate about music. His love for music is shown in his enthusiasm and and energetic teaching techniques. He is exceedingly patient and encouraging. He rocks!”

    –Dana C.

“Senchant’s Art of Teaching is the place to go to learn an instrument. I found out about Bernie from a guy I saw playing at a benefit , I went and met him. My planned 15 minute conversation about starting lessons turned into a 2 hour conversation about music. I knew how to play songs, but didn’t know how to play music. In the 8 short weeks I have been going to S.A.T., my guitar skill level has improved almost two fold and I am learning music. I would say to anyone who is interested in playing the guitar, Go and talk to Bernie. He is extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and he designs his lessons based on the needs and ability of the student. His other instructors, for drums, piano, and voice, all share the same passion for music and teaching it, that Bernie does. You can’t go wrong with Senchant’s Art of Teaching.”

    –Patrick R.

“I can’t say enough good things about this place. I took piano lessons here with Michael Howe earlier this year and had an excellent experience. He’s a nice guy, and is a Berklee-trained pianist. He taught me both how to sight-read sheet music and how to play on my own. He passed on several tricks to understand how to remember the notes and chords, and in the beginning he helped me acquire a keyboard-or rather a digital piano with weighted keys-to practice on at home. I have experience with other instruments, so I picked up the piano fairly quickly.

When my boys get older I’m going to proudly send them to Senchant’s Art of Teaching. With music and band programs being cut from school curriculums, it feels great to have such a solid alternative right here in my own community.”

    –Brad H.

“I started guitar lessons with Bernard seven years ago at age 60. He was able to start me off with a solid foundation in the music theory I needed as I needed it. Although he is an accomplished Berklee trained guitar player, he patiently helped me through my beginner struggles and encouraged me toward the plateaus that were just out of reach.

Bernard’s friendly, professional style made it fun and challenging for me to learn how to play. I recommend Bernard as a music teacher or recording coach. Thanks, in large part to Bernard, I now think of myself as a guitar player.”

    –Bill G.

“This guy Bernie is awesome. If your in the area and want to learn and get excited to learn you’ll love this guy. Not like any other teacher I’ve had when I was young. I REALLY want to practice the lessons from him. He works with any age and rocks!”

    –Jason E.

“Bernard taught our 14 year old son guitar for about 4-5 years when Michael was younger! It was one of the best things that we ever did. It taught Michael how to embrace an instrument and to use his imagination. We will be sitting down relaxing and we will hear this beautiful sound coming from Michael’s room. Me and my wife Stephenie will both look at each other and think of Bernard with fond memories. We are forever grateful to Bernard for teaching Michael that life for a boy is not all about sports. Michael plays constantly for his girlfriend and she really loves it. What great memories thanks to Bernard.”

I have been with Bernard now for over three years and it has been great! He is very engaged and enjoys teaching others about music. He also gives you the ability to choose what you want to learn, of course he will help guide you in the right direction. Overall, he is the greatest guitar teacher I have ever had!
