Since my wife dragged me to take this class with her, I have come to love and appreciate the art of Tai Chi. Randy, is a very gifted and caperable teacher, his attention to detail and teaching style is first class. Since I have been praticing I have noticed my recovery from physical activity has greatly improved, my ability to control my breathing has vastly improved also. My range of motion has gotten alot better. If you are looking for a non evasive way to improve your health I would recommend Tai Chi and Randy from and Swimming Dragon Tai Chi in particular as your teacher.

While on a cruise in China, I experienced very bad breathing problems. Being an asthmatic, my medications couldn't keep up with the conditions. It necessitated my going to the ship’s Doctor, who emphasized the most important thing that I could do was to practice Tai Chi every day for 1 – 1 ½ hours.

While living in Florida I” learned” Tai chi through videos. Realizing that there was no one to tell me if I was doing it correctly, I felt that I needed to find a class with a teacher who could give me guidance. When I came back to Boston for the summer, I did quite a bit of research and based on the reviews decided to go to Randy’s class.

Randy is a TEACHER. He shares his extensive knowledge not only about the forms but also the why. It is important to him that his students maximize the physical and mental benefits of Tai Chi. This is exemplified by his individual attention that all of his students receive. He consistently moves around the class encouraging and correcting. Through his efforts I feel that I have begun the steps (baby steps) to really learn Tai Chi and have grown not only in the physical but also the importance of the mental aspects. Randy is truly vested in the success of his students.

If you truly want to learn, Randy is a TEACHER

I don't live on the east coast at the moment but this is one of the places that I always look forward to, when I'm home visiting with family.
The facility is at a cool studio located in the back of a cafe/video
rental store. Well maintained, clean and can accommodate quite a few people at a time.
The instructor is great and teaches Monday & Tuesday evening classes. I've attended both nights and have always been very happy. Although I don't have any other martial arts instruction to compare this to, I know that I am in excellent hands. Structure of movement and application of forms is something that gets explained thoroughly and whenever you have a question there is a well thought-out answer.
Tai Chi for me, is mainly for fitness, flexibility, internal strength, but it has also helped me in becoming more self-confident with my movements in general. The majority of my time is spent rock climbing and I have found that Swimming Dragon Tai Chi's emphasis on using your whole body as one unit has greatly improved my balance and focus when i need it the most. Living in the Boston Area for a year, I was looking for a place and an instructor to continue (and deepen) my own practice. I worked with Randy (both in class and with private instruction time) and must say that it was a great experience and that Randy is a very special and gifted instructor (not to say master). I would definitely recommend his teaching to anybody interested in "real" Tai Chi. His knowledge is extensive, deep and translates well into western daily life. It also presents great health benefits.

Thanks Randy, for keeping this ancient tradition vibrant and accessible to 21st century human bodies.

I have attended two classes with Randy thus far. My wife and I enjoy his classes thoroughly. Randy is obviously passionate about his art and his attention to detail stands out. I have found my investment in Randy and his classes to be money well spent and will definitely refer friends and family to him.
