Norwood Comprehensive Pain Management

I love Norwood Comprehensive Pain Management Because all the staff members go above and beyond.. Marylou is an excellent scheduler, she's always kind, caring and understanding. The medical assistants are efficient and empathetic.. Dr. Hummel is one of the Best Doctors I have ever had. He is compassionate, empathetic and he listens, he came up with the best plan of care for me.
I was referred to Dr Hummel in 2016 by Dr Friedberg who is my neurologist. I had unimaginable and unbearable pain. Dr Hummel came up with a great plan of care for me.
Dr Hummel has a NP that works with him, her name is Joanne, she is also kind and compassionate and empathetic. Joanne is also a big part of my pain Management Plan. I am Grateful for Dr Hummel and Joanne.

The people at this pain clinic are top notch. Joanne an NP, saw me first, and was so knowledgeable and caring. Dr. Hummel, is excellent. He did a procedure called, "nerve ablation", on my lumbar area. It went so smoothly, and wasn't too painful at all. His assistant, Michelle, is really nice and helps you feel comfortable before a procedure. I had back pain for many years, and saw many doctors without any help. Dr. Hummel, listened and helped me. My pain has decreased at least 50%, or more. I can now move, and do things again! I'm now off to PT. Thank you, NCPM!

I was absolutely blown away today. Dr. Hummel and his physicians assistant saw me promptly and efficiecently. And beyond my wildest expectations he found a way to fit me in for a procedure to help with sciatic pain i had been living with for over 3 weeks. Excellent bedside manner and huge points for finding a way to fit me in. I will highly recommend!!!

I spent three years in pain that was so bad, I stayed in bed except for doctor visits. I went to pain doctors ar hospitals in Boston, Norwood, Providence, and more. I tried therapy, hypnosis, acupuncture and any other thing that was suggested. Nothing helped. Finally, my GI doctor asked if I would try Dr. Hummel. I told him I’d walk naked in downtown Boston during rush hour if it would help. I was desperate.

So, I went to Dr. Hummel. His first question was why so many doctors. I told him about my search for help.

He started looking for various ways to help relieve my pain. Long story short, he was the first and ONLY doctor who helped me! That was many years ago, and I still see him. To me, he was, and IS, a Godsend. He gave me back my life!

I am NOT pain free, but there are times when I AM pain free and I owe every pain free moment to him, and my GI doctor.

I cannot thank him enough for his help.
