(March 9, 2019, 7:27 pm)Need to watch the tides. For about 4 hours each day [2 hours either side of high tide] the tide is high enough for good swimming. Swimmers quickly learn to watch and calculate the tides of Boston Harbor. Life Guards are there to open the bathhouse and watch the marked swimming area. In the deep water is a wooden float. This pretty, small beach within easy walking distance of town. Parking is still free. A good bicycle rack is available. Dogs are not allowed on the beach in the summer, and trash is “please carry out what you carry in”

(June 29, 2018, 7:15 am)This little gem of a beach is great. Being there at high tide is optimal for paddle boarding or kayaks because it's a little muddy otherwise. View is a great, crowd is small and easy in and out.
