  I have been seeing Dr Jan Mertz for quite a long while. She is the very best in her field as well as personable and gracious. However my experience with the optician there when I was getting my glasses was NOT pleasant. She has no social skills — is patronizing and impatient.....and not honestly helpful when picking out a frame.

  Dr. Lynch and his staff are amazing! From the moment you walk into the office, you are made to feel like family. James took the time to ask questions and I didn’t feel rushed at all. They also have a state of the art machine so I didn’t have to have my eyes dilated. (The machine is an additional fee, but worth it!). Dr. Lynch is kind, patient and truly cares about his patients being happy with their prescription. After my eye exam with Dr. Lynch, Joan takes the time to help you find the right frame for your face and personality. Bay State Eye Center is by far the best eye center! You won’t be disappointed!

  I went to bay state eye center because I needed a new doctor since I had just relocated. I saw Dr Whooler because I was getting floaters. She ran so tests and took some pictures and wasn’t too concerned but wanted a follow up in a week. When I saw her a week later she saw changes that concerned her so she sent me to a surgeon that agreed I had a retinal tear that needed immediate surgery. Without Dr Whooler finding this I could have lost sight in my only seeing eye. I have and will continue to recommend bay state eye centers
