“The Alexander Hamilton House is a special place. Reviews and photos don't do justice to the work that Steve (and doggy hostess Clara!) puts in to make a relaxing and welcoming environment for everyone. From free kayaks on the private lake to popcorn in the suite and that amazing giant jacuzzi tub, it's clear that this is supposed to be a place where you can do as little or as much as you want and have everything you need. Breakfast is already set up on the table in your room and in the mini fridge (also in room with the microwave, toaster, and coffee maker) when you arrive, so you don't have to be interrupted in the morning. The house itself is beautiful and spacious, and the fact that there are only two suites gives you a sense of privacy and free reign to explore the home and surrounding area by the lake. Steve said to me that he finds it important to add "those little things you don't think of at first" that just make the place seem like home. He's done an excellent job in providing that at an astonishingly reasonable price. The place is family and dog friendly, with well thought out amenities and provisions to help with a fluffy friend (such as crates and food bowls). I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxed and inviting atmosphere with a touch of luxury.”
