It’s a great program it is not a shelter this part which is behind the Shelter part it’s great though. It’s a holding till you get to your halfway house but they are great I recommend you put in for her (Pine St Inn/Men’s Stablizations)
The Pine St. Inn has helped numerous homeless folks who need shelter and guidance towards a better life. Many good folks work there. I have heard from someone who are currently housed there that Angela, a worker at Morton St. is an incredible person who works long hours while doing what she can to help the folks housed there.
I love that it is there for people trying to get sober, clean, and a general better person but there is always people that really could care less and a forced there. SO I recommend you find a group of guy your close to and try to be friendly to everyone. Cause the groups attitude is fragile and can flip easy . So worry about your recovery and do what you can to interject some positivity and hope it spreads and promotes a perfect recovery environment.
NOW with the pros there are a few cons. LOT OF DUDES. FOOD IS "EDIBLE" AND REDUNDANT. ALSO NO ONE PICKS UP THE PHONE AND I KNOW SOME ONE WORKS NEAR IT. With that said most staff care and will treat you like a normal person. FINALLY the church's that sop by are great to bring a smorgasbord of treat, while taking up their time. The treats a small plus compared to their selflessness in everything other things they do to show us people still care about people, even addicts who constantly focus on bridges burned, relationships destroyed, leaving addicts
thinking every one hates us but still not as much as we hate ourselves thank you psi all staffing. Forever grateful,
PETER C
