(February 16, 2019, 7:58 pm)The Esplanade really is a great place to stroll through for exercise, walk your dog, or scenic view. Dress appropriately, can get very cold and windy. Blue lighting at night under the Longfellow bridge gives the river a wonderful appealing look. Bathrooms shut down for the winter. * Final note, been coming to the river for 9 years, I notice last year the slider turtles, frogs, and musk rat's ( a purplish furry water swimming vegetarian rodent ) in the Charles River from Mass Ave bridge to Longfellow Bridge disappeared. What happen ???
