  Great for a day trip. The walking trails are well kept and there are gazebos that provide sitting areas and drinking water. The visitor center is staffed with rangers to answer questions and everyone on the island is very nice. There is a beach and changing rooms so quite a few people came to swim at the beach. Plenty of dock space for boats as well. There is a snack shack called Saltys which we did not order from because we bought sandwiches on the boat. The family agreed it was a nice day!

  Short ferry ride. Great hiking and visitor center has great veranda w/Adirondack chairs facing Boston skyline.

  Good overall. The picnic areas at the top have no shade or restrooms so that is an area of improvement. I saw lots of parents with children and baby strollers so it's very family friendly. Food is normal, cheeseburgers and hotdogs, a few cookies. Drinks, etc. Overall nice day trip :)

  Fun little ferry trip. Great place for a picnic. The visitors center is nice, with good bathrooms. Great place to stroll, with good views of downtown Boston. Great staff as well.
