I hired Josh about a year ago to work with my daughter, who is a top-ranked national tennis player, and couldn't be happier. He has done wonders to improve her strength and conditioning and, as result, her on-court performance has increased substantially. Besides knowing how to motivate and push her, Josh is very personable and professional. With school, tennis practice/tournaments, her schedule is very complex and ever changing and Josh always goes out of his way to accommodate so we can get sessions in. I highly recommend Josh!
Josh & I have been working together for just over five months now. First & foremost, it should be noted that Josh is a great guy; easy-going, thoughtful and a great listener - which is important when you consider how vital it is to have a comfortable rapport with your personal trainer. He understands my problem areas, and when something isn’t working one way, he’ll suggest trying another. He’s also very keyed into his client’s potential and exactly how far to push before moving on. Coercing one’s body out of its comfort zone can be grueling at times, but Josh guides with an encouraging approach and a calming nature. I find myself wanting to do it, just to prove that I can! My body is still evolving, but with Josh’s help I’ve lost almost ten pounds, increased my stamina, and strengthened my core. He also introduced me to the world of foam rolling, which, if I’d done nothing else, has been worth its weight in gold! If you’re in the market for a personal trainer, I highly, highly recommend Josh!
Josh was a godsend for us. As we got older and more sedentary he brought mobility and activity into our daily routines. His easy manner and warmth made our workouts enjoyable and productive. We looked forward to his weekly visits and regretted the move to a new town that forced us to stop. We hope our next trainer will be half as personable and effective as Josh.
Last year I climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro and have plans to climb more of the great mountains in the world. I came to Josh to bring some new life to a training program geared towards powerlifting and general fitness, and have refocused a bit more around core strength and kettlebell work. Josh does a great job of listening to my goals; he also pays a lot of attention to each exercise during the training session, always offering feedback, guidance and motivation. He also keeps the sessions fresh and dynamic, bringing new progressions and movements into the program which keeps it from getting too routine.
I have been training with Josh for 3 or 4 months now. My goals were typical for a 59 year old male: lose some weight and get in better shape. Not trying to bulk up or anything like that. Josh has really helped get me on a path towards achieving those goals. He has come up with creative ideas for goal setting and has given me the right mix of pushing and inspiring in our times together. I am on a much better path thanks to working with him. Weight is moving down, sleep is better at night and less frequent during the day and I just feel better. I plan to continue working with him and recommend him highly.
