“Old Rexhame Beach - The pet friendly beach! I love going to the beach and especially if I can take my four-legged friend early in the morning or in the late afternoon when it’s cooler out, and there aren’t many options in Massachusetts to do so, enter Rexhame Beach! I took Lenny my Boston terrier down to this beach early in the morning and we were able to find a prime real estate spot near the water. We noticed several other dog owners and their pals with them all on leash of course and everyone was very friendly and quiet. There are not many rocks on the beach in the sand feels great as well as they’re being plenty of room for everyone to have their own very large space. People did not have a problem whatsoever and were rather very friendly and receptive of the dogs which was great to see. While the beach started to fill up it’s still remains very peaceful and relaxing which is what you want for a trip to the beach. The beach was very easy to get to in close by you can find also it’s of boutique shops as well as your typical beach shop and ice cream parlors which allow you to make a whole day out of the trip. Whether you’re a dog lover or not this is a fantastic beach in Massachusetts that is close by to Plymouth and one of the only beaches in Massachusetts that you can take your dog to during peak summer months! ????”

“Fascinating house occupied by 5 generations of Coffins (ancestors of ours). Different eras represented in each area, from late 1600's to mid 1800's. Original furniture, wallpaper, etc. The house was modified repeatedly and our guide (who was also distantly related to us) was a fountain of knowledge. Only open 2 weekends a month during tourist season, but private tours (like ours) can be arranged for a $100 fee, or you can join for $65 dollars and the tour is free. The Society owns multiple properties throughout New England.”

Peter Oliver House

Address: 443 Plymouth St, Middleborough, MA 02346, USA

Museum

“Very haunted and full of historical value. I loved the guided tour and the little surprises that came along with the tour. Parking was a bit of a problem and the driveway obscured by overgrown vegetation, so you could easily pass the place up and when pulling out of driveway blind spot careful attention is necessary. Otherwise if your BIG into the American Revolution this is a MUST! Will be back again to explore at night :)”

“Well-done tour through a historic house dating to 1690. Historic New England has carefully set it up to display various periods in the long life of the house. Different rooms are furnished to different periods. In some places, holes in walls are left open so that you can see how the house has been changed and modernized over the years.”
