“The Alden House was one of the best historical home/building museum tours we've seen in a week's worth of sightseeing. Short but engaging, entertaining, and informative. A window into our country's earliest history. Highly recommended.”

“A brilliant little museum run by the king of modern printing, Frank Romano himself. They run excellent programs as well, from fabric printing to movies about the evolution of graphic design. Excellent gift shop! Well worth the visit for printing enthusiasts.”

“Impressive medieval castle on beachfront property. All kinds of 15th century European artifacts in a large building copying a variety of European castles. Docent guided tour of the house is recommended. That Hammond guy was brilliant .... and maybe somewhat crazy. (Heck, what sane person would spend that much to have his own castle?)”

“Great place to come and check out if you are by the town or want to learn to make about US military history and the world war 1 and 2. The museum is designed amazingly with great use of technology and videos are uses to illustrate the, so it's not just walking and reading. Tickets start from 20 dollars to free for veterans.”

“If I could give a hundred stars I would! My wife and I took a ride on the B-17 Bomber plane. This was at Palwaukee airport in Wheeling IL. It was the best experience ever and worth every penny! We flew over Lake Michigan and get this, they had the top bubble off on the top of the plane and we were able to stick out heads out! That's right! We were standing up with our heads sticking out of the plane and we saw the Chicago Sky line. It was stunning! Our pilot had over 8,000 hours of flight time, so we felt very safe. We encourage you to make this flight. You won't be disappointed, and I promise you it will be worth every penny. My wife and I are 62 years old with some very minor mobility issues and we had no problem getting on and off. If they come to Wheeling in 2020 we would like to do it again. Thanks to everyone there for giving us a wonderful time.”

“This map feature should be renamed "Norcross Gateway". It's the primary eastern entrance to Tompson Street Reservation, a large parcel owned by the Essex County Greenbelt Association that has an extensive trail network.”

“Open to visitors only twice a year. 6/1/19 today was one of them 11am-3pm with historic New England. House is from 1715 but because if inaccurate preservation, a lot of the original details were removed. Nice exposed structures & knew braces explained by the current renter and your guide. Huge fireplaces!...can roast a few pigs in there ;-)”

“I grew up in scituate, and I must say, if there is ever a need, to know and learn and obscure amount of information about not only the plant "moss". But also the old art if "mossing" then this is the place! It also works as a great punishment alternative for your kids. They think the Smithsonian or natural history museums are boring? They don't even know how boring this place could be to them!”
