(December 16, 2018, 1:16 am)This is an ideal, quiet recluse to which I enjoy retiring when escaping the pace of the big city. Here I write, read, sleep, and eat in an environment that fosters creativity. I leave feeling rested and accomplished. Its proximity to Chicago means that I can get away on relatively short notice for a long weekend. The owners take pride in their inn. The staff are attentive, friendly, and helpful. This is a charming inn, and especially so at Christmastime!

(November 3, 2018, 10:38 pm)Friendly staff and a warm and comfortable setting. It was a great place to unwind with my hubby. Its close to the beach as well as other attractions. Will definitely be back again!

(October 9, 2018, 8:05 am)Stayed in the Madellaine room. Very quiet and relaxing. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Breakfast was very good the next morning, we had the pumpkin waffles with candied almonds. Definitely plan on coming back!
