Was amazed how quickly and efficiently he was able to work with my four year old talking his ears off! Have also worked with Lee. Knowledgable and courteous! Great company.

Six stars plus for the technician that came out. He was quick, efficient, knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and very likeable. Absolutely outstanding!!!
Scheduling is a five star. Got me in for next day service. Again, great.
The billing throws a wrench into the rest of the rating, however. I was quoted T&M with a named rate. When I got the bill, it was a flat rate and was a little higher than I was expecting. I reminded them I was quoted T&M. Long story short, they initially used a higher than quoted rate to calculate my bill, which they corrected, which wasn't a big deal. The big deal is that they refused even after several emails back and forth to show me how they were billing the time and material. Nowhere on the invoice was the hours worked, the rate per hour, or the material cost. Eventually, I got them to confirm the time and rate were as quoted and as the technician recorded. I had to check the prices at other HVAC businesses for the piece price to double check everything to see why the price was where it was at. The fittings are very expensive. It was a giant hassle to not just let me see what I was being billed for and instead force me to other HVAC companies to see what the darn fittings cost. As a sidenote, the staff I spoke to were still very friendly even when we disagreed on whether I was entitled to actually see how they billed the time and material.
I would definitely use again, but either negotiate a fixed price up front or that I would get an itemized bill if T&M. This situation really struck me as so odd. Great scheduling, great technician, great price, but hiding behind their billing as if they were con artists (they are definitely NOT.) Literally forced me to deal with another HVAC company just to get prices for the fittings I bought from Five Star. I deal with contractors every day at work and have never once had this happen before. -
