Helpful staff and nice selection of goods

great selection, the staff was really friendly, made recommendations for better products than what I selected for a better price, and even loaded my purchases into my car for me. Likely the best hardware store in the area. Definitely shopping there again

Good service and good selection. I'd rather shop at the local hardware stores then at Lowes or other big box stores for most of my hardware as the price difference is usually not that big. Take the time to stop by and enjoy the experience.

This is a well stocked and well run locally owned hardware store. The employees are always helpful and they have several employees who have vast knowledge of various repair methods and techniques for home related issues. Joe Pater, The owner of the store, is often on the floor himself and he works to take care of their customers.

I prefer this local store to the big box stores. At times when the item I needed wasn't in stock or if a big box stores price was lower, Pater's True Value would match the lower price. They also can order many hard to find items such as unusual filter sizes, etc.

Give this store a chance to earn your business. If you don't see what you are looking for, ask one of their diligent and hard working employees. It is nice to get just what you need, when you need it. Supporting local businesses help keep them here for when we need them.
