I moved to the area from New York about 6 months ago. Before moving, I had noticed a strange spot on my shoulder. The spot continued to get more suspicious in appearance. I became very concerned, but being new to the area, was not sure what provider to seek treatment from. My father in law is a retired Dermatologist back in New York, so I decided to ask him for his input. After some research, he suggested that I schedule an appointment with Dr. Brown. He said his education, credentials and training appeared to be impeccable. I called Dr. Brown's office to inquire about scheduling an appointment, expecting that even though I had a very concerning spot, I would most likely have to wait weeks to be seen. On the contrary, the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating with my level of concern and got me in that same week. Turns out the spot I was concerned about was in fact skin cancer. As alarming as that was to hear, Dr. Brown was very reassuring and kind, and answered every one of my many questions, with great patience and compassion. I had a MOHS surgery that next week and was cancer free when I left the office. I am extremely grateful for Dr. Brown and am so happy that my Father in law recommended him. I highly recommend that anyone with a suspicious spot or any dermatologic issue, consider Dr. Brown, he is by far the best!
My Husband came in for MOHS surgery a few months ago and from start to finish it was a professional experience.
While it is never "great" to have skin cancer, the staff and Dr. Brown set my mind at ease and assured my husband that everything would be fine.
The removal was a success and the site has healed up wonderfully.

I have been very pleased with Dr. Brown as well as his staff. I was able to get in right away and received excellent care. Everyone was very professional, taking the needed time to explain diagnosis, procedures, and address my questions in all matters. I highly recommend Dr. Brown!
Excellent doctor (kind of a serious guy).
Went to another local dermatologist concerned about an odd spot on my shoulder, was told it was nothing and not to worry about it. Went to Dr. Brown for a second opinion, and he said if I was worried about it that it was worth checking. Biopsy came back as melanoma. I was 35 at the time, mom to two young kids. Thank you Dr. Brown for saving my life. I can’t imagine how much different my kids would be without their mother (and my husband too)!
My take away...go to a doctor that will listen to you, remember you know your body better than anyone else.
