Oh gotta love your local subway healthy

Had never went to this location prior to today. Only went because the location at Canal and Schoenherr was closed at 2:30 in the afternoon. 🙄 I was skeptical as I usually am with trying new locations, the good news is I didn't get food poisoning so that's a relief. Upon entering there was a funky odor inside, not sure what exactly it was. I proceeded because I was hungry and really needed to get to work. The bread was a little more stale then I would have preferred, although unlike our local Subway, the Italian herb and cheese bread actually had cheese and herbs on it so that's a plus. Ordered a footlong cold cut with American cheese, meat looked fresh. Veggies on the other hand, I took a chance with them. Lettuce didn't look very fresh and neither did the green peppers. The spinach looked wilted, not that I wanted it anyway but just throwing that out there. The sandwich ended up tasting pretty good aside from the stale bread. Although I will say this Subway location charged a $1 more then other Subway locations I've been too. I paid almost $8 for a footlong cold cut here and it's $7 at other subways I frequent. Overall it wasn't a horrible experience, it could have been better but at least this location was open and I was able to get food prior to having to go back to work. Staff was friendly.
