I absolutely love Dr. Paul & PA Rana. We have had nothing but good experience every time we need to be seen and I can’t imagine going anywhere else! Providers are kind and caring and will go above and beyond to make sure my kids has the best care possible! They never rush through an appointment and takes the time to answer all of our questions and concerns. As a mom it’s so heartwarming to know there doctor and wife cares as much as you and will take the time to make sure that it happens!

Dr. Gogue is great! He’s thorough, easy to talk to, and is patient and friendly with the littles. He’s pretty much everything you’d want in your children’s doctor…or a doctor in general! The office is nice and the animal murals are so nice for the kids.

But I do have a few misses.

I’m a big believer in the first faces I see when I walk in gives the first impression; and first impressions mean a lot. A warm hi, hey guys how’s everyone doing is friendly. I don’t expect front desk to be medically trained in any way but I didn’t feel completely at ease when she said, “is it like big and stuff?” when I called an inquired about the bump left after a vaccination. At the very least, I think front desk should speak professionally and it could be helpful if they were familiar with some common patient concerns so it can be addressed appropriately and with some minor knowledge.

And I wish the medical assistants were somewhat engaging with the children. Yes parents are responsible for prepping the child but I also believe the person administering a shot should build some rapport with a child, even if it’s for 2 minutes. I’m not sure anyone likes a stranger coming into the room without acknowledging them and jabbing them with a needle. If these children are going to essentially grow up with staff, wouldn’t it be nice to have some familiarity and rapport with your clients?

It would also be helpful if the office had a nurse on staff. My previous pediatrician’s office had a couple of nurses at the office and if I had a question I could call and pick their brain and they could somewhat triage my concerns. When I had a question and called Dr. Gogue’s office I was only told I would have to come in for a sick visit. If every time I have an inquiry and am seeking medical advice I’ll be racking up a lot of co-pays and “sick” visits.

I haven’t had to call the office after hours and don’t know if there is an on call number for emergencies, but the website doesn’t state on call services. I’ve spoken to other moms whose offices have both nurses and on call after hours accessibility available to parents during an emergent situation, so I’m hoping Dr. Gogue has something similar?

I have considered switching and going to a pediatrician’s office a couple miles north from Dr. Gogue that a couple neighborhood moms go to and love but I have yet to bite the bullet.

All in all, Dr. Gogue is a great pediatrician and he’s the reason we stay!

I would highly recommend Dr.Rana to anyone! Dr. Rana and her staff truly care about their patients and their overall well being specially Nardin Yousif is very friendly and she try’s her best to help you out. Also she calls back to follow up if I received all my kids medication. Thank you for all your hard work.

Our 3 children have been seen by Dr. Paul Gogue and Rana since they were babies. The staff is also great with them and make sure they’re always comfortable. My questions or concerns are always addressed and the kids feel extremely comfortable going in for their visits. I also love the fact that they can always work around my work and kid’s school schedule when scheduling the appts. for us.
