Dr. Kuhta is one in a million. She is the best dental/medical professional I've had the pleasure of working with since moving to the United States 19 years ago! I found Dr. Kuhta via a Google search at 3am one morning. I was desperately trying to find a professional who understood open mouth breathing and airway issues. I was sold after reviewing her website and watching the video on her website--the sincerity with which she spoke told me everything I needed. As a result, my husband and I drove 1.5hrs to take our son in for an airway consultation. Dr. Kuhta's service was top notch as expected. She took the time to see us and hear us. She interacted with my son as if he were her own child. She thoroughly explained her findings and recommended treatment options that made sense. She recommended treatment options that were in the best interest of our son. She didn't see my son as just another patient but really took the time to assess his case. Dr. Kuhta also connected us with other professionals in the Detroit area who could provide further support in our son's journey towards correcting his open mouth breathing habit. I also have to highlight that she referred us to an excellent ENT in Michigan whom I believe is the best at what he does. Had we not done the consultation with Dr. Kuhta we would not be where we are at this point in getting our son the help that he needs. Dr. Kuhta truly cares about her patients and is passionate about providing the best care. She also understands the importance of collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide excellent, coordinated and individualized care. I will end by saying, Dr. Kuhta is an answered prayer. My husband and I are forever thankful.

Dr. Kuhta is the best! Every time I come into the office she is always so nice; she always makes sure I’m comfortable and explains every step while she is doing it. I got an expander and it didn’t even hurt!

This is an excellent place to entrust your child's orthodontic care! Not only are the facilities beyond reproach in cleanliness and appropriate provisions for social distancing and mask requirements, but the customer service is superb! I have always been met with kindness, accommodation and efficiency in all scheduling and with any questions I may have. The most unforgettable and admirable moment for me was during my daughter's initial assessment. Dr. Kuhta and Barb were like professional tennis players volleying back and forth with numbered/coded locations and status of every aspect of my daughter's mouth! It only took a matter of minutes but it was replete with essential details in a thorough assessment. As a nurse, I know the importance of an accurate assessment so I was exceedingly impressed with the level of their game. Like a well oiled machine! And we continue to be pleased with the level of care! Thank you, Dr Kuhta, and all the hard working staff at Michigan Smile Design!

The team at Michigan Smile Design have done.a wonderful job ensuring my son is able to accommodate all those teeth not only for cosmetic reasons, but to ensure his future health. He has seen both Dr. Kuhta and Dr. Bork, and they both have a great way with children. Barb in the office always ensures everything run very efficiently. I am pleased with the progress and attention he has received.

Dr. Kuhta is a fantastic orthodontist and the staff is so kind. My daughter and nephew are currently in her care and I wouldn’t trust anyone else. I’ve been in the dental field for 25 years and I’m very selective. Very few clinicians understand the importance of airway health and lip/tongue posture. That’s why I drive one hour each way to see her!
