Yesterday, I missed my FedEx delivery. I called the 800 main number explaining the significance of me needing this package before my flight tomorrow. The dispatch reassured me that they would have my package at this office and that I could pick it up anytime after 5 PM.
Well, when I arrived at 5:30 pm, that was technically not the case. The actual distribution site, may I add the main site at that. So I’m sure there was tons of Norstrom merchandise, and guess what? Jennifer came out to the security desk and dealt with me personally. She apologized for the confusion and thanked me for my patience. She also went a step further, giving me her number and name and reassuring me is she is making this her problem and that even after her shift, she would pass this along to the appropriate party. She stayed in contact with me until the end of her shift, giving me updates rather she found my package or not. Which, may I add, helped me relax more, even though it wasn’t necessarily what I wanted to hear, just knowing that someone was taking the time out of their shift out of the many things that they could be doing to make me feel seen and hurt really meant a lot to me.
Fast forward
I received a call this morning at 7:50 AM letting me know I could pick up my package.
