“After almost losing my life and being saved at Ascension Providence hospital, Novi Michigan, I was sent to Notting hill rehab. During the two weeks I've been here I was rehabbed from someone whose legs had to be painfully lifted into bed to being able to walk with a walker, put my clothes on and do many other things I thought I would never again. Everyone has been great but one individual clearly stands out, Health Care Aid Lena Alkassem. She helped me proactively by cheering me on as she watched me make incremental progress. Her encouragements and advice made me try even harder. I suspect that I would have reached my goal to be fully mobile, but her manner with me helped me erase any doubts I had. When I knew she was on duty I was automatically uplifted and knew the day would turn out good. As for the other staff, all were excellent. I could write about their great care of me but Lena was the topping on the cake at Notting Hill Rehab. It and Lena was a life saver for me. Not to be remiss , this review would be incomplete if I didn't mention the rehab staff. When I came in, I was crippled, my legs had to be lifted into bed. Forget trying to walk. these rehab staff changed that: Rahan Qazi, physical therapy, Debra Williams, occupational therapy, and Tina Day occupational therapy. In less than 20 days they mastermind an almost complete return to normalcy for me. A five star team in a five star rehab facility”

I met the great team at White Lake and got started at 234lbs. I had a tough first month even though I stuck to the program perfectly, l didn't lose and got really discouraged. They all talked me through that hard time and now I'm losing steadily. But my weight sticks at times, goes up then down. It can be very frustrating. That is where the team REALLY helps get you past the rough times. They are ALWAYS there for YOU to push you through and keep you going! Update as of Aug 2022 I weighed in at 175 that's 59 lbs so far!
